The Thirlmere Throw is inspired by the rhythmic fall of water droplets - a nod to the Thirlmere reservoir, whose clear upland waters have long flowed down to the city of Manchester. This quiet, repeating pattern speaks to the hidden infrastructure beneath our feet and the deep interdependence between landscape and livelihood.

Designed by the Lancs and Lakes Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, the throw is woven from 100% British wool, combining rare breed fleece from the Chaplin-Bryce family with hardy Herdwick wool from Matthew Fearon, both farming in the Thirlmere valley.

A soft and lasting layer of warmth, this throw carries the feel of rain-fed land and the flow of thoughtful design.

Wool: 100% British wool from the Thirlmere valley - rare breeds & Herdwick
Origin: Designed and made in the North West of England
