Woven with deep time in its threads, the Duddon Throw is inspired by the archaeological excavation of Norse longhouses in the Duddon Valley, remnants of early 10th-century life nestled beneath the soil. This design nods to the structure and rhythm of those ancient homes, echoing a landscape once shaped by Viking settlers.

Created by the Lancs and Lakes Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, the pattern is as grounded as the history it draws from. The wool is Swaledale, hardy and full of texture, sourced entirely from the flock of Jonno and Lauren Hogarth, who farm in the very valley where those longhouses were found.

A throw to wrap yourself in stories - of earth, ancestry, and enduring craft.
