Shepherdess Botanicals lovingly hand craft their range of artisan soaps and skincare at the family farm in Cartmel Fell. Each gorgeous recipe derives from botanical infusions that Lisa harvests from her own land and cutting garden.
All their natural ingredients are carefully selected for their skin loving properties. To create each product, the base oils and butters are first infused with botanicals, before Lisa adds pure essential oil for fragrance. Hand-processed organic fruit peels and clays are used to add the soaps’ beautiful colours. As many ingredients as possible are sourced from their own farm – reflecting the Grasmere Gather’s focus on local provenance, supporting our Cumbrian farmers, and diversified farming efforts.
