Based in the heart of Cumbria, Pure Lakes have been producing award-winning natural skincare since 2006. Valuing precision and passion over mass production, all of their products are created and crafted in small batches at their workshop in Far Sawrey, Ambleside.
Combining the science of effective skincare with clean, plant-based ingredients, Pure Lakes are passionate about providing an eco-friendly solution to full body skincare. None of their products contain parabens or SLS, and they are never tested on animals. Instead, all their ingredients are raw, natural and biodegradable – with ‘natural’ meaning they are all derived from sustainable plants, with a minimal amount of processing.
Pure Lakes have taken their environmental commitment seriously, carefully selecting their suppliers to prioritise those who are UK-based, organic, Fair Trade, and/or small Co-operatives. This also helps to reduce transport miles of their ingredients and packaging. They pay a premium for ingredients like essential oils to ensure they are the highest quality possible, and fully traceable. Finally, all their packaging is either made from recycled material or is itself recyclable – where plastic packaging is necessary, they use biopolymer PET instead of a cheaper traditional PET, which is fully recyclable and much more sustainable.
