Hilary Grant runs a textile design studio and artisan knitwear factory, based on the Northerly Scottish islands of Orkney. Producing luxury knitted scarves, throws, hats and mittens, all Hilary’s products are knitted from 100% superfine, cruelty-free lambswool – creating items that are soft, warm, stylish yet practical.
Hilary’s studio specialises in unusual knitted patterns with an original, intuitive approach to colour. Their yarns are spun and coloured with environmentally-friendly dyes at a UK mill in Loch Leven, Scotland. All her products are then knitted in their factory in Orkney, before being finished using hand-intensive traditional methods. Their gentle production process and lack of over-processing is reflected in the feel and longevity of Hilary’s knitwear, allowing the wool to retain its warmth and suppleness.
