Ellen Pogson is a ceramicist who lives and works in the Lake District. She takes inspiration from the natural world when creating her pottery, using these colours and shapes to design her tableware.
With her studio and gallery based at Brougham Hall in Penrith, a creative hotspot in the Lake District, Ellen Pogson draws upon Cumbria’s unique terrain, bringing nature into the everyday functionality of her goods. She is able to bring the wild outdoors to the table.
Ellen experimented across a variety of media styles, however, after specialising in ceramics, she trained in the UK before spending time in the Australian Alps where she continued to grow her ceramics knowledge. Grasmere Gather are delighted to stock a range of her pieces, supporting Cumbrian industry.
