Cambridge Imprint is a small paper-making business based in Cambridge, England, who create notebooks, paper and cards adorned with their distinctively joyful illustrations. Founded by three female creatives, and thus bringing together their respective talents in painting, textiles and ceramics, the brand is known and celebrated for its lively colours, hand-drawn aesthetic, and meticulous attention to detail.
Cambridge Imprint uses simple hand-stencilled screen-printing to create their original designs. Spot-colour lithography, done by hand in small workshops across the UK with inks hand-mixed for each design, is then used to replicate the studio process in manufacturing. This means that each product is subtly unique, with an undeniably British essence.
All their products are designed in Cambridge, with as many raw materials as possible sourced locally, and then manufactured by small English workshops across the UK, chosen for their high level of expertise and craftsmanship. The brand also has exceptional environmental credentials: all paper is uncoated and printed with vegetable oil-based inks, meaning it is completely recyclable and biodegradable; all their stock has Forest Stewardship Council certification, meaning it is produced from sustainable sources; and no plastic is ever used in their packaging.
